Women’s Fellowship

SERVING, LEADING, GROWING

The women at Onward meet regularly to grow in His Word and to serve the Onward community and beyond.

All women of the church are encouraged to participate in Women’s Fellowship. They meet every-other month for devotions, prayer, a business meeting and fellowship.

Women’s Fellowship also provides financial support for local community needs, such as Weekday Religious Education, the Mental Health Association of Cass County, Southeastern Care Pantry, Walton American Legion, Cass County Cancer Society, the Children’s Choir of Cass County, Ark Ministries, and the OCC Preschool, as well as special individual benevolence needs.

To finance their endeavors, the group makes and sells homemade noodles. Their chief source of funding comes from the annual Chicken Noodle Dinner. On the second Saturday of each October, all the church joins together to serve over a thousand people delicious home-made chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, dinner rolls, a full salad bar, and yummy dessert. “Eat your fill, pay as you will” is their catchphrase. They make and sell noodles all year round and everyone is invited to join in the process. Noodle-making is a great time of fun and fellowship.

When you visit, be sure to ask for one of their wonderful cookbooks!
